On Sunday, we returned from a trip to New Mexico. We toured Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, and Los Alamos(!). I
love travelling to the desert. After having grown up in Pittsburgh, the scenery and climate feels so foreign and exciting and it's interesting how the weather can change so drastically based on altitude.
I find vacation posts to be kind of tedious, so I'll just share a few of my favorite photos.
 |
| Gorgeous hiking trails. |
 |
| Swimming in hot springs amidst mountain tops. |
 |
| Every building is made of (or covered in) adobe - by law. |
 |
| Epic picnics. |
 |
| The Rio Grande Gorge. |
I was also able to visit a new gym, which had a great set of dumbbells to use with the Nike Training Club app. Do you see that vending machine behind me?
That's right. The cardio machines face the vending machines AND the scale. Brilliantly executed.
We had a great time touring the desserts and mountains and eating awesome Mexican food. Can't wait to return.
Have you ever been to the Southwest?
Vacation pictures are never tedious... I love looking through all of bloggers vacation pictures ... it's almost like I went ;) but not really lol. It looks like you had an awesome trip! Also, if you don't mind my asking, what area in Pittsburgh do you live in? I wonder if we are close to each other?!

DeleteYour pictures are gorgeous! And the weight room/vending machine/scale pic . . . lol!!!
ReplyDeleteRight?! Obviously designed by someone who has never worked out.
DeleteNew Mexico is so gorgeous! I'd love to go back there again.
ReplyDeleteThe Southwest is magical! We're hoping to move there someday :)
DeleteOh wow! You're really making my wanderlust kick up a few notches tonight!! Looks incredible.
ReplyDeletePS: I don't find them tedious. Inspires me to see more of the world! Bring on your vacation photos in multitudes!
Ha! Maybe you're due for a weekend trip? :)
DeleteHey Alex! Just found your blog and really love it. I am from Los Alamos! Born and raised there and both my parents are "native New Mexicans". I now live in Manhattan (quite the change, huh?) but NM will always hold a special place in my heart. Your pictures are just gorgeous. So glad you made it to the hot springs too! Great blog you have-can't wait to read more. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you grew up in NM. It's SO beautiful! Manhattan is beautiful, too, just in a different way :) Thanks for reading!
DeleteThe Southwest is one of the trips on my list. I think it's because I live in the suburbs, and the movie "Waiting to Exhale."
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get a chance, you really must. It's so gorgeous. Funny - California is also a trip on my own list!
